We were selected by Zipcar as one of 10 college student group finalists across the nation to create a video showing how we are driving positive change, on and off campus.

Quest Scholars was established in 2005 at Pomona College as the support network and community for low-income, first-generation students.
Quest works to keep Pomona College as an institution of higher education accountable to its students. The movement toward education access and equity does not stop at the admissions process. Getting into Pomona is one extraordinary feat, but staying here and graduating is yet another. Quest asserts that many improvements must be made, and the aforementioned barriers must be addressed at personal, institutional, and systemic levels to ensure that more low-income, first-generation college students who wish to pursue postsecondary education at Pomona not only get to, but through college. Quest students act as advocates to help Pomona better understand the specific needs of its low-income, first-generation college students, and implement specific programs to better support them.
We are mobilized as a community to make change and create a better world for low-income, first-generation college students.

The podcast created by FLI Students would debut in Fall 2013. It would run for two years before last active Fall 2015. The links and episodes no longer work and have been lost to time. However, a Facebook group still exists that documents the podcast. Below is the page’s description.
“Welcome one, welcome all to The College Lowdown! We are low-income, high-achieving students at Pomona College. We provide information in the college application process and ultimately, we want to debunk the myth that low-income students can’t attend the school of their dreams. Higher education is accessible and there’s a lot of financial and academic resources that can help you get there! We also discuss insights on college life that anyone of any background can benefit from.
